We were sitting around the dinner table at a Study Groups meeting recently sharing experiences. One of the members looked around and was hit with a moment of perspective:
“Do you realize that between our firms, we have over 10,000 employees? The decisions we are making here impact thousands of individuals and their families. And when we consider our customers, it’s multiple times that number.”
At Study Groups, we have the unique ability to help our members grow as people, to become more of who they were created to be; to help them become healthier, wiser, and themselves better able to help others. What a blessing, and an important responsibility to steward.
It’s often lonely at the top for our members. Having a peer group of like-minded, caring individuals where one feels safe opening up with both the good and the bad is an important resource as our members strive to be better leaders and people. We truly believe in the merit of the work we do. It is worthy and good. And it makes a difference.
Some 2024 Study Groups Stats:
- 326 Unique Firms participated in a group.
- 749 Total Members – between owners and key managers – received the value of membership in a group.
- 56 New Firms joined a group and experienced the value and friendships for the first time.
- 8 New Study Groups were formed providing value to:

- Petroleum/Full-Line Owners
- Fuel Transportation Owners
- Convenience Store Retail Owners
- Ready Mix Concrete Technical Services Managers
- Petroleum General Managers

171 Study Groups Meetings were held where ideas were exchanged, and friendships were made.
The Results:
- $4.20 million of Economic Value Added (EVA) was produced by our typical Study Groups member in 2024.
- $1.37 billion of EVA was created for our 326 Study Groups members collectively. In laymen’s terms: “That’s a Big Number.”
- $120 Million of Incremental Revenue was produced collectively for the 36 Construction Industry Firms in 2024.
- $217 Million of New Inside Gross Profit was collectively created for 114 Convenience Retailers.
- Countless Lives were Changed by the leadership and influence of our members.
We are so grateful our members experienced these substantial financial gains in 2024 and left our meetings better equipped and inspired to make a positive difference in their firms and communities. Thank you for being a part of Study Groups.
