Ideas, Insights, and a Network That Delivers

What led you to join a Study Group?

I joined after conversations with existing Study Group members who spoke highly of the experience. I was looking for a place to exchange ideas and find sounding boards for any challenge that comes with owning or operating a company—from intergenerational ownership transfers to which automated floor cleaners work best.

What value have you found in your group?

The wealth of knowledge within the group has been tremendous. Insights from members helped us navigate employee turnover in our price book department and even secure better financial covenants from our lender after reviewing proposals shared by other members. I’ve never left a meeting without at least two good ideas to put into action.

How has participation impacted your company culture?

Both generations of our family who attend try never to miss a meeting. The conversations keep us sharp, aligned, and constantly improving.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining?

Hurry up—if you have the time, take it! You’ll be away for a few days, three times a year, but the return on those days is immeasurable. I’ve never left a Study Group without at least two good ideas to put into action.
