Building Community, One Connection at a Time

Roxie Comstock, Member Engagement and Facilitator, 4 yrs.

Discovering the Heart Behind the Work

When I first joined, I knew who Study Groups served and what we did—but not the heart behind it. I’ve always loved helping people solve problems, process options, and put plans into action. I had no idea how naturally that personal passion would align with the work we do here.

About a year in, we launched our first ready-mix group, and that’s when it clicked. I watched strangers come together over shared challenges and passions—and form bonds that went far deeper than professional connection.

The Power of Connection and Calling

Each time a new group forms, I see it as something special. I pray over every group and member—that the right people will be brought together, that their experiences and insights will speak directly to one another’s needs. Watching that unfold, time and again, is what drives me to build and facilitate more Study Groups.

For me, it often starts with one person—someone I’ve had the chance to talk with. From there, it’s about connecting them with others who will both challenge and inspire them. Finding those points of commonality as well as differences is where the magic happens.

Why This Work Matters

I’d do it for free. Truly. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to help build community—to create spaces where real people can grow together, personally and professionally.

At Study Groups, there’s no required separation between life, family, and business. The whole person is seen, supported, and challenged. Conversations are open and honest—no half-truths, no surface talk. Just people showing up for each other and doing life and business side by side.

I’m honored to be part of the Study Groups’ story—and even more grateful to be surrounded by people who are driven to do good work, help others grow, and in the process, become stronger themselves.
