One of the Best Decision in 76 Years

Victor McMillan, President, B & B Concrete Co.

What initially led you to join?

We initially joined Study Groups because we wanted to improve our business and gain insight into how other ready-mix producers were approaching common opportunities and challenges. We knew there was value in learning from others who were walking similar paths.

What have you gained from being part of your group?

We’ve gained tremendous insight, practical knowledge, and confidence in decision-making—plus meaningful relationships that make the experience truly special. The ideas shared have led to tangible improvements in our operations and strengthened how we lead our business.

Can you share a specific story or moment where your group made a real impact?

Through our Study Group, we were introduced to the book Traction and the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). We have since fully implemented EOS, and it now forms the core of our operating platform. Our business would look very different today if we hadn’t adopted it—and that transformation wouldn’t have happened without our peer group.

What would you tell someone who’s considering joining a Study Group?

If someone asked if it’s worth it, I’d say absolutely. Even a small improvement or best practice learned from the group can have a big impact. A single idea can deliver a strong return on the investment of time and money.

Is there a short quote or testimonial you’d share publicly?

“Joining a Study Group is one of the single best decisions our company has made in its 76-year history.”
