What initially led you to join?
A customer of mine from the petroleum industry was already a member and thought it would be a great fit. I’d always struggled to find like-minded contacts locally—people I could speak with openly about the challenges of running our business.
What have you gained from being part of your group?
The ability to share issues and ask questions with peers is huge. I love hearing feedback from others and offering advice when I’ve faced similar situations. We all run across the same issues, and it’s refreshing to know we’re in it together and out to help each other succeed.
What would you tell someone who’s considering joining a Study Group?
It’s absolutely worth it! It’s been a game-changer for me as a new leader of my company. These are long-term relationships built on trust—you can talk openly in ways you can’t with someone in your local market. I’m even working on getting my CFO into a group now!
